Hi! I'm Oya! I've been a Speech Pathologist with more than 15 years of experience. I've worked in various settings such as schools, skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics. Very early on in my career, I recognized that I have a deep interest and love for voice, voice disorders, one's quality of life, and voice therapy. As my career progressed, I realized my passion for providing gender affirming voice training to the trans and non-binary community. I came to notice the limitations in providing these services due to limited insurance coverage and difficulties accessing services. As a result, I have made it my mission to provide Gender Affirming Voice Training a priority in my career and creating access to these services my responsibility. I am very humbled and proud to be serving the community that I am a part of, and I feel lucky and privileged to be able to work where my biggest passion lies every day!
Hi! I'm At the ACC, I will have 14 minute slots open for people to recieve a free 15-minute voice feminization or masculination session, or use that time to ask questions and consult one-on-one. I will have a signup sheet at my booth in the Marketplace. Walk-ins will be welcome! Or, if a few people want to sign up together for a group session, that is also great!

I also bring the discipline, focus, and integrity that come from my background as a U.S. Army combat veteran, having proudly served two tours in Iraq. My military experience has shaped my strong work ethic and my commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for every client.
My experience with electrolysis early in my transition and finding a safe place for queer people to get such an intimate procedure done proved to be very difficult, especially when seeking treatment for bottom surgery prep. These experiences became my motivation to enter the field and create an environment for other trans women to receive care from someone they can relate to and feel safe with. The safety and comfort of my clients is paramount as I strive to foster an inclusive space for anyone seeking treatment, whatever their reasons may be.
