WELCOME ROBIN VINCENT
Robin Vincent, hailing from Atlanta, began her musical journey in the acoustic circuit around 2011-2014, honing her skills as a songwriter and performer. After gaining experience in various rock and country bands, Robin took the helm to found Robin Shakedown in early 2022. As the frontwoman, she has led the band to perform extensively throughout the Southeast, from iconic local venues like The Earl, Smith's Olde Bar, and Eddie's Attic to stages across Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. Robin is recognized for her prolific songwriting and dynamic performances, contributing to multiple albums with her distinctive voice and lyrical depth. She has shared stages and collaborated with notable contemporaries such as Aaron Lee Tasjan, William Mathany, and Under The Rug. Robin's annual Robin Shakedown Holiday Breakdown has become a celebrated tradition, showcasing her versatility and magnetic stage presence.

Marci Bowers, MD
Pioneering Gender Confirmation Surgeon 

 

Dr. Bowers, a pelvic and gynecologic surgeon with more than 33 years of experience, is recognized as a pioneer in the field of Gender Affirming Surgery. She is the first surgeon with transgender history and the first woman to perform Gender Affirming Genital surgeries world wide. 

 

Dr. Bowers is the current WPATH President and serves on the Trevor Project Board of Directors having completed previous terms with GLAAD and the Transgender Law Center. Her gender diverse work has been highlighted by appearances on Oprah, CBS Sunday Morning, Discovery Health and the TLC reality series, “I am Jazz”. She was interviewed in 2021 by Leslie Stahl for the CBS News program 60 Minutes. Dr. Bowers is recognized as one of the 100 most influential LGBT people on the Guardian’s World Pride Power List and one of Huffington Post’s 50 Transgender Icons.

Donna Rose

Author, Advocate and Corporate Leader

Keynote Speaker, Friday Conference Dinner 

The ACC welcomes Donna Rose, an internationally recognized author, speaker, advocate, and leader on trans issues. Her work with corporate America earned her recognition as a “Gay Corporate Leader” by The Advocate Magazine. Donna has  helped to shape LGBT workplace policy in corporations across America and to raise awareness of the unique considerations and challenges involved.

Donna’s award-winning memoir, “Wrapped In Blue: A Journey of Discovery” continues to educate and inspire, and her website and blog have been a source of hope for many. She has been featured in USA Today, CNN, Fortune, Entertainment Tonight, Marie Claire, Diversity Inc., Bloomberg, the Advocate, Harvard Business Review and countless local and national stories.
